The Art of Pruning
Our lives require pruning too. Through time, we accumulate things, narratives, relationships, and ideologies that we carry with us. Pruning is about taking a step back and letting go of all those that are weighing us down; saying no to what is no longer aligned with the life we’d like to build, so we could be free to become the version that we seek.
Poetry: Ephemeral
I wrote this in Dahlgren Chapel almost one year ago. I consider it as the simplest but also the most honest poem I’ve ever written. I think I’m the type of person who could never ‘unlove’ someone, and this poem holds all the goodwill and tenderness I will always have for every person who had walked with me at some point in my life.
